Naloxone is an easy-to-use, lifesaving medication that can reverse the effects of overdose from heroin or other opioids, including morphine, methadone, codeine, and other drugs derived from the poppy plant.

Naloxone rapidly reverses the effects of opioid overdose and is the standard treatment for overdose.

Sold under the brandname Narcan among others, Naloxone is a medication used to block the effects of opioids, especially in overdose. Naloxone may be combined with an opioid to decrease the risk of misuse.

Free Naloxone Training & Kits

The Cannabis, Spice & Legal Highs Group encourage and promote the training of Naloxone

dispensers and the distribution of free Naloxone kits throughout the community. Working in 

partnership with New Directions we co-host and signpost individuals and groups into free Naloxone 

training and information awareness events.
